"Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to go to Europe, not to visit, but to live for awhile, and experience a different culture. My exchange year to Denmark has been everything I could have wanted, and so much more. I have seen and experienced so many things, not just in Denmark, but in other countries around Denmark. I learnt to speak a language that I had never learned before I came to Denmark. I made amazing friends, and found an entire life. And I made a new family. That was the one thing I really couldn't have imagined. The idea that a bunch of people I had never met before could mean so much to me was something I couldn't have imagined. Now, just like my family back home in New Zealand, I know that they will always be a family for me, even when I am on the other side of the world. I wouldn't swap this year for anything."
